Chase Babineaux

Associate

Chase Babineaux is an associate with Southern Health Lawyers whose practice focuses primarily
on healthcare corporate, regulatory, and compliance matters including company formation, contract
drafting, regulatory due diligence investigations involving state and federal healthcare fraud & abuse
and privacy laws, and Certificate of Need matters. His practice also includes litigation matters such
as contract and payment disputes and government investigations.

Chase graduated from Georgia State University College of Law Magna Cum Laude and completed
its Health Law Certificate Program With Honors. He also earned a Certificate in Law and
Development from the Law and Development Institute because of his excellent academic work in
related courses. He was a member of the Student Health Law Association, a mentor for new health
law certificate members, and participated as a member and team captain of a healthcare and life
sciences regulatory compliance competition team. Chase also participated in the college’s
interdisciplinary Health Law Partnership (HeLP) Legal Services Clinic where he represented low-
income children in supplemental security income and education law matters under Georgia’s
Student Practice Act.

Chase brings a wealth of professional experience from his prior career in the insurance and risk
management industry as an insurance agent, certified insurance counselor (CIC), and certified risk
manager (CRM). He worked as a claims advocate at an independent agency, managing complex
claims and risk management issues for a wide range of clients including manufacturers, construction
contractors, schools, and healthcare entities.

Outside of the office, Chase spends his time with his family and supporting his local running
community as a middle school cross-country coach. He also previously served as a member and
interim president of the Rome High School Cross Country Booster Club. An avid runner himself,
Chase is passionate about passing on the joy and benefits of running to others.
